More Pieces from Jr. Liteskinn

And another one... And another one!!

A Child's Talent
- Poetic Techniques Inc...

He writes because
As a child, was told to be quiet
Don't speak unless spoken to.
He internalized,
Decided to write.
This materialized.

When she cheats
And succeeds – he writes
When friends switch sides
Or blow up with pride – he writes
He sees Def Poets
And biographies – he writes
Being a witness to life
Made him want to write
Seeing life cease at the beach
A moment in time that changed his life
And so he writes
Seeing pain in pleasure
And peace in rainy weather
he picked up his pen to write
As he spent hours as a child
In his room, no TV, no phone _ he writes
His name being yelled
Behind a door that separated a generation
He knew not, what was in store
Disappointment and Rejection
A mother's pain transferred to his ink
In his pen on his paper
The power of words
Illustrated the
struggle he had
Not with one person
But an illness of the mind
When depression spewed animosity at he,
(Blasphemy)
(Profanity)
Great dismay at any action of kindness he displayed
This is why he writes
Today he can't get by the silent scream
So instead of balling fists
he writes
he escape on the page
relieves himself of childhood rage
A father should be prominent
So a mother doesn't have to play his role
I think this devastation gave this child
This talent to make him whole.
